Sanibel, Captiva and Fort Myers, Florida Fishing Charters
Capt. Paul Hobby caters to the light tackle enthusiast and fly fisherman. Whether you are after redfish, snook, tarpon, speckled trout, tripletail, or jacks, Capt. Paul can help. Capt. Paul is proud to offer a catch-and-release guide service. Artificial lures by D.O.A. and quality tied flies are used. The D.O.A. TerrorEyz and D.O.A. Shrimp are favorites for the many saltwater species we catch. Snook, redfish, speckled trout are all available year round. The height of tarpon season is May and June. These fish are always eager for a well-presented fly. Fly fishing for these brutes is a lifetime dream and challenge of the avid fly fisherman.
Capt. Paul fishes the waters of Sanibel, Captiva, and Ft. Myers. Around Sanibel and Captiva lie miles of lush green grass flats, surrounded by sandy pot holes. Extensive mangrove shorelines surround the islands. Ft. Myers offers river and creek fishing opportunities. The Gulf of Mexico ouside the islands of Sanibel and Captiva presents some of the best tarpon fishing in May and June. Night trips with flies or artificials is an awesome experience. Here you can sight-cast to large snook and sometimes tarpon beneath lit docks!
My priorities are your safety and arranging a day of fishing to your expectations. Capt. Paul supports the Coastal Conservation Association and the Federation of Fly Fisherman. Please e-mail or call with any additional questions or fly suggestions.
